Hello Parents/Gaurdians,

Welcome to the '23-'24 HSFUMC Kid's Club registration! The first day will be Monday, August 14th. While this is primarily a kindergarten through fifth grade program, siblings in middle school are also welcome. 

Pick-up from Kid's Club is at 6pm each day. Please call or text if you will be late. 

Students may stay for dinner on Wednesdays (please make sure to RSVP) and pick-up is 6:30pm. Please send a few dollars to help cover the cost. Dinners are organized by groups and are used as fundraisers. Coffee Chat (6th - 12th grade) is 6:30 - 7:30 Wednesday nights. This is a time for our older kids to hang out and have fun.  
 

My name is April Woodard and I'm the Director of Family Ministries here at the First United Methodist Church of High Springs.

A little about me: I'm 41 yrs old, have two kids (18 yrs and 21 yrs), and have been married for 22 yrs. My family and I currently have three dogs, three cats, and two birds...we love animals! During my senior year, I took Early Childhood Education classes at Bayshore High School in Bradenton, Florida. I have always loved kids and, at one point, planned to be a teacher or daycare worker. While that didn't happen, I volunteered with Vacation Bible School, Children's Church, and Kid's Club for several years and I'm so excited to now be leading our family minstries! Like some teachers, I consider HSFUMC kids to be my kids and will love them as such. Thank you for entrusting your child(ren) to my and my volunteers' care. 

Just a little note about health and safety: if, during the school year, your child does become symptomatic with any illness (covid, flu, etc.) please do not send them to Kid's Club and contact us so that, if necessary, we may inform other parents and staff of any possible exposure. Any steps for cleaning or possible closure will be handled on a case by case basis.

As always, our main goal is to provide a safe place for students to come and learn about God, interact with others, and have a fun filled afternoon.

Cost
For non-members, the cost will be $40 per week for the first child, $20 for the second child, and $10 for each additional child. For church members, the cost is $20 a week for the first child, $10 for the second child, and $5 for each additional child. Please do not let the cost be a deterrent, I'm just a phone call away and we can discuss options!   


Please only register your child(ren) if they will be attending regularly as we only have space for 12 and want to be able to offer this program to those who need it or wish to have their children here all four days.
Also, please let me know prior to the end of the school day if you child will not be attending that day.
Taking attendance is difficult when children don't show up and there's no explanation.

Below you will find a link for First United Methodist Church's Parental Consent and Medical Authorization form. For your child to be fully registered and permitted to attend Kid's Club, this form must be filled out and returned to me during the first week. If you need me to notarize your form, please make arrangments with me.
